Application of acrylic sheet
PMMA has the advantages of light weight, low price and easy molding. Its molding methods include casting, injection molding, machining, thermoforming, etc. In particular, injection molding can be mass produced with simple process and low cost. Therefore, it is widely used in instrument parts, automobile lamps, optical lenses, transparent pipes and so on. Due to the difficulty and high cost of acrylic production, there are many low-cost substitutes in the market. These substitutes, also known as "acrylic", are actually ordinary organic boards or composite boards (also known as sandwich boards). Ordinary organic board is cast with ordinary organic glass cracking material and pigment. The surface hardness is low, easy to fade, and the polishing effect is poor after grinding with fine sand. The composite board only has a very thin layer of acrylic on the surface, and ABS plastic in the middle. It is easy to delamination due to thermal expansion and cold shrinkage in use. The true and false acrylic can be identified from the slight color difference and polishing effect of the plate section.
Scope of application
In architecture, plexiglass is mainly used in daylighting body, roof, shed roof, stairs and interior wall panels. Plexiglass is also widely used in highway and high-grade road lighting shade and automobile lamps. With the construction of hotels, hotels and high-grade residential buildings in big cities, the daylighting body develops rapidly. The daylighting body made of organic glass extrusion plate has the characteristics of high overall structural strength, light weight, high light transmittance and good safety performance. Compared with inorganic glass daylighting device, it has great advantages.
In terms of sanitary ware, plexiglass can be used to make bathtub, washbasin, dressing table and other products. Because of its luxurious appearance, deep feeling, easy cleaning, high strength, light weight and comfortable use, plexiglass bathtub has been widely used. Acrylic is a good new material to make sanitary ware after ceramics. Compared with traditional ceramic materials, acrylic has the following advantages besides incomparable high gloss brightness: good toughness and hard breakage. It has strong restorative properties. Only using soft foam to dip toothpaste can wipe the sanitary ware. The texture is soft, and there is no cold chill feeling in winter; bright colors can satisfy different tastes of personality pursuit. Using acrylic to make basin, bathtub and toilet is not only exquisite in style and durable, but also has the function of environmental protection. Its radiation line is almost the same as that of human body's own bone. Acrylic sanitary ware first appeared in the United States, and has occupied more than 70% of the international market since 2008.
Acrylic all kinds of fashion boutiques, such as leather bags, waist chain, watches, high-heeled shoes, heels, hair accessories, brooches, bracelets, buttons, earrings, necklaces, rings, pendants, photo frames, Wenzhen and so on, have unlimited space for development. Because of its high processing plasticity, good surface hardness and transparent luster, acrylic materials are often used by designers to match with different materials in various kinds of exquisite container design, adding container texture and practicality, such as lipstick and chemical products, and other daily necessities such as massagers, jewelry boxes, fans, etc. Give full play to the cool feeling of acrylic materials, combined with creative design, make acrylic materials perfectly present in a variety of popular products.
